An Hommage to Galileo Galilei

„And yet it moves“ - may or may not have been the words of Galileo Galilei after he was convicted by the Catholic Church to deny that Earth would be the center of the universe. As a „Polymath“ Galileo Galilei contributed significantly to the history of science - especially as „father“ of observational astronomy. This set features some of his contributions - placed in his appartment in downtown Pisa , incl. his telescope, a painting outlining his analysis of lunar craters, and a moving (inner) solar system (the model allows the planets to move while the sun in the center stays still) - also highlighting his observation of Saturn’s rings.
