The Book of STEM
Knowledge has been passed on through books for centuries and today they still represent a common way of learning, despite the most modern and digital means currently available. Books will probabily continue to be a widespread means of acquiring knowledge on a subject, albeit in a format other than physical form. This build aims to be a tribute to such fine objects and their contents.
It consists of a book that can be opened and closed (as shown in the video). Inside the book, on the left page, four panes contain a small representation of the STEM disciplines:
- First is table with small vials of chemicals for Science;
- At the top right there is a computer station with a computer case, a display, a keyboard and a mouse, representing Technology;
- At the bottom left a little set of gears for Engineering.
- In the last position a university Math lesson, with student seatings and a blackboard;
It is composed by exactly 250 parts.
