White Water Rafting: A Kinetic Sculpture

How fun would it be to go cruising down a river with water splashing all around, in a raft with your best friends? A dream vacation of mine would be to go white water rafting. One of my favorite vacation spots is in the mountains of Colorado. On my way there, I often see groups of people rafting on the rivers. My idea is to take this fun dream and design it in Lego form. This build includes two mini figures, a raft, and a deep blue river. However, the building fun doesn't end there! On the front of the model, a crank allows you to put the river and raft into motion. As you turn the crank, panels in the river lift up in a wave-like motion. The raft is connected to hinges that allow it to rock up and down with the current of the water.

This build was a challenge to build, due to the piece limits in the contest. This build features 249 pieces, including the two mini figures.
