Lakeside Retreat

I wanted to convey a sense of joy, whilst appreciating the serenity and surprise of nature.

This model features a casual camper on holiday, taking some time by the lake to go fishing.

i wanted to create some depth to the model, as well as texture to the landscape, albeit in a small vignette, but rather than just a small flat cross section of dirt I needed some detail and thought the surprise of a hidden bone under the earth made for a nice extra feature.
The use of two different blues for the water is to show the deepening as you move out into the lake.

He’s already caught one fish, but our camper has everything he could need, including refreshments, a map, telescope and binoculars.
