The Office

Hi there! Here's my entry for this contest. It's called The Office, because every big building has to have at least one office. This one is exceptional though. It's a lovely cozy area filled with furniture (Built with 'real' wood!) and comfortable lighting.

The Build:

I love building interesting wood furniture, so as soon as this contest came out, I knew I wanted to do something including that. Once I had settled on that, I decided to build an old-fashioned office. The bookshelf is a simple build but adds a lot to the look. The desk is also simple, but looks good. The water cooler hints at the modern setting as does the file cabinet. The curtains presented an interesting challenge, but after a few different experiments I decided on this style. I also played around with the lighting to create a nice atmosphere.
