Chinese New Year Memory

I always missed my hometown as well as the childhood joys during Chinese new year. 

I used Chinese traditional colour - yellow and red as the majority. The piece selection is altered to fit the design but the size is the same with the lego pop-up book.

When you open it, courtyard dwelling pops up in the center, of which gate can open and red lanterns on both sides. A fish hangs over gate to bring good fortune in the next year. A table with food in the left-up corner is for family reunion dinner at New Year Eve; in the other upper corner sets the spirit tablet and ancestor warship table with contributions. A big Chinese lantern is placed for minifigure's use.

I incorporated a duel platform that can pop up with the building. Thus don't have to replace minifigures when book is closed. There's firecrackers in left and a firework shooting sparks in the middle.
