A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes

This 92-piece set uniquely reimagines Cinderella's iconic glass slipper as a diorama in its own right. It features aeroplane fuselages, waffle cones, a turban, and two hidden Mickeys to create a midnight fantasy. It is my first ever Lego model, which I was compelled to learn to build after seeing it in a dream: as Cinderella says, a dream is a wish your heart makes. My dream is to see more young women like me enjoying Lego. As my demographic grew up in the golden era of classic Disney princesses, and are now old enough to be "Adults Welcome", this tribute to a favourite heroine within an economically-sized, feminine, and accessible set is what I'd love to see on shelves at Target for young women who can feel intimidated by complex models or disinterested in starships and wizards. I chose Cinderella as I came to admire her most as an adult; her hope, kindness and light in the face of grief and unkindness makes her a wonderful role model worthy of a place beyond child-focussed playsets.
