CB Radio / Walkie Talkie / Baby Phone

A Lego Walkie Talkie System - consisting of a AudioIO Brick (AIO),  a Smart HUB (HUB) and a small interactive motor.

The AIO is connected to the Tablet via AD2P and can be used as "headset" from the mobile phone. It has two button possibilities (lego technic axle connector) that can be used for Push-To-Talk. The small motor can be used to set a "channel".

Up to 25 people can join a group (with the consent of the parents), and there are 4 channels. In the "Powered Up App" it is possible to activate a group (a Lego ID user can be part of many groups, but only one is active at a given time in the app). The App has the new Blocks for "On Button1 pressed", "On Button1 released", "On Button2 pressed", "On Button2 released", "Send audio to channel", "Play audio from channel". The "send audio" block has an input for a voice changer (e.g. robot, cb-radio noise, chipmunk). The "On channel activity" can play the audio (but also control other effects as well). The "send audio file to channel" activitiy can play a pre-recorded mp3 file to the channel

A "on voice command detected" block can trigger functions - the voice command can be set by the user. For example, "call mum" or "call pete", or "energize".

To make it more fun and interactive, it is also possible to trigger remote commands (1-16) on a channel. e.g. "Send Command1", and "On Receive Command1". What CommandX actually does is up to the local user of course - it could turn a knob or spin a minifig. Those commands have an activation URL - when you do a POST to that URL, the command will be sent to the group. This URL can be used in IFTTT or in an Alexa/Cortana app.

There is also a standalone App that can be used as a controller, e.g. for reaching the parents at work. When a channel or command is received, the App will show a Push notification. That way, the parent can activate the CB radio setup and notify the kid.

And for those AFOLs, there should be a way to NOT use batteries (e.g., USB power), for the HUB and the AIO.
