MIKE

My first idea when I saw this contest was to make a robot that would dance to a song you would sing into a separate microphone. First, I assembled the microphone, using one of my favorite techniques: the Lowell Sphere Technique. Then I built the legs, but afterwards, I was having trouble with the body so I moved on to making the arms. Right before I started building the body, I thought it would be kind of funny to attach the arms and legs to the microphone. I was playing around doing that, and my family thought it looked really cool and that the microphone actually made a perfect body, so I decided that it was meant to be, and MIKE was born.

Every kid and kid at heart will have loads of fun dancing around and singing any style of music into MIKE, and watching him, too, dance to that style of music. MIKE can move just like a human; he has all the joints that he needs to be able to dance like a person. You can hold his body and sing into him.  He can walk around, and he can even talk to you. You can upload your playlists to him, and he'll dance to all of your favorite songs. He can even teach you to dance by showing you how to do the moves. MIKE knows lots of facts about musical artists, so you can ask him any question, and he'll answer it. MIKE is your ideal musical pal.
