Svaeve 8

This is my nuclear fusion rocket. I've named it Svaeve 8, the Danish word for "Soar", as it will soar the stars to Mars. I've used nuclear fusion so that instead of seven months with rocket fuel, you can travel to Mars in as little as 30 days.Three stages of rockets enable Svaeve 8 to go first to the Moon, and then to Mars. Svaeve 8 orbits the moon and then uses the moon's gravity to slingshot itself to Mars. Each of the rockets are 80 feet long. 100 feet of living space has everything today's modern Mars astronaut would need, including protection from any nuclear radiation. The Mars lander (sand dune background) is released from the retractable nose of the rocket (space background). When the Mars lander touches down on Mars, the astronauts exit from a three foot hole in the base of the lander to collect their samples while the main rocket orbits. Once the Mars Mission is complete, the lander returns to the retractable nose, and the whole rocket returns to earth.
