Project Capstone: The Genesis

Project Capstone is an endeavor to make it to mars. The first successful rocket to emerge from this project is the Genesis. A two stage rocket with a protective fairing over the cockpit of the 2nd stage. The 2nd stage is fully re-usable to promote frequent travel to and from the Red Planet.

The Lego build itself features a 1st stage booster with 3 engine cylinders and thrusters. A 2nd rocket stage with a fully designed interior cockpit and cargo area for more astronauts and/or equipment for traversing and inhabiting mars. (The 2nd stage clips onto the 1st booster stage.) Also a top protective fairing which clips onto the 2nd stage. Not all can be shown due to picture limit.
