Lego Technic and Volvo Construction Equipment futuristic construction contest

 - Volvo E-noch - 

My entry is a machine inspired by the Volvo Sfinx concept excavator.

Some of Volvo Sfinx features just had to be in this model, like the split track design, articulated chassis and see through in the back of the superstructure.

The boom is made light grey because it needs to represent a lightweight, open boom.

Fully RC and opperational, it comes with 7 functions:

1. Drive, 4x4 - 1 XL motor.

2. Steering, articulated chassis - 1 L motor

3. Rotate superstructure - 1 L motor

4. Boom up / down - 1 M motor

5. Dipper up / down - 1 M motor

6. Bucket open / close -1M motor

7. Counterweight forward / backward - 1 M motor. 

The Volvo E-noch has a easy access, easy removable, rechargable LiPo battery in the counterweight, which provides power for 3 IR recievers.

( boom up / down is combined with the active counterweight )

All motors are in the superstructure / boom, and this makes a 360° free infinite rotation possible.

The cab and top cover-plate are removable aswell.
