Volvo Kameleont

The construction machine of the future has arrived in the Volvo Kameleont.

The Volvo Kameleont is a versatile, agile, eco-friendly, autonomous, electric powered machine for earth moving, drilling and rock breaking, a high potential and growing market for construction equipment.

Kameleont is Swedish for Chameleon, and although this versatile machine does not change color like a real chameleon, rather its modular attachments - excavation bucket, electric powered rock drill and other attachment like electric powered rock breaker is why it's named Kameleont.

It has a fuel cell/battery power pack, is counter balanced, stinger supports for extra stability, turntable superstructure, autonomous and remote control capabilities, individual wheel power drive with re-generation, independent tire oscillation for terrain mobility, cameras and sensors, and an array of telemetry devices.

The Kameleont was constructed mostly from parts belonging to Lego's excavator, articulated dump truck and bulldozer.
