D&D "Book of Lairs" Tribute | Bookend and Classic Dungeon Playset
To celebrate 50 years of Dungeons & Dragons, my submission is inspired by classic D&D book covers. Combing through the catalogs, the “Book of Lairs” issue from 1986 struck me as the perfect illustration for what I admire most about this franchise. The booklet's cover features dungeon exploration, creative characters, treasure, and a dragon! So, that's when I began building my homage to the Book of Lairs!
While constructing, I wanted something collectors would appreciate, while also encouraging enjoyment for play and customization. The build can serve as a bookend for your collection of D&D tomes, but it also invites imaginative experiences of classic roleplay within its walls.
Additionally, the set features a display for your minifigures. This display allows builders to show off their own D&D inspired characters for personal campaigns. The display includes tiles of D&D classes to ensure any character can come to life. Plus, there is a podium to display your D20 dice!
