Greebled Earth
Home sweet home, Planet Earth looks truly beautiful when seen from outer space. My postcard depicts it in the artistic LEGO style of "greebling" (often seen on the box art of larger sets), which is really fun to design.
It contains of course the Earth, some stars, one constellation, two spiral galaxies (with the whip piece!), and also a space station. But the main part of the build is the blackness of space - what in real life is an empty void, but with LEGO becomes the most exciting and detailed part of the build. I love how textured and chaotic it looks from a distance, but when you look closer you can see many interesting patterns and shapes - even a few negative space effects - which complement the other random designs for an overall visually pleasing art piece.
I also added a few easter eggs and pictures in the details of the build. See, e.g., if you can spot part of the LEGO Classic Space logo!
Now the only question is, since this is a postcard, who are we sending it to. . .?
