Simon and His Slightly Over-Sized Pal Grimble (FLN-XXL Deluxe Model)

Simon, a carebot at the Sunny Servos elderbot home in Sector Five, realized one day that he was a bit lonesome, and decided to adopt a catbot, Grimble. Only, he failed to notice on the adoption holo-ad that Grimble was an FLN-XXL Deluxe model--and so, just slightly (that is, immensely) bigger than he'd anticipated...

Simon was by his central programming quite a serious little fellow. Grimble, by contrast, was absolutely silly to his last line of code. And playful! While he'd rarely admit it expressly, Simon has come to love the playfulness Grimble has brought to his life. And Grimble, for his part, would never let harm come to a single solenoid of Simon's--even as, say, he teaches him to fly (and always gently catches him).

Secretly, both Simon and Grimble's favorite part of play is really the deep, cozy naps that follow, cuddled up together. Serious Simon and goofy Grimble, despite all issues of scale, really are perfect friends.
