Flora and Fauna: Kookaburra
The laughing kookaburra is an iconic native Australian bird known for its raucous, territorial "laugh". I have used Constraction pieces to highlight the kookaburra's distinctive plumage, including faint brown streaks on the top of its head, dark brown wings with famously light blue edges, and a creamy white chest and neck. This handsome subspecies of kingfisher is also known for its large head and prominent brown eye stripes. The model also includes a Constraction elastic worm as a nod to this carnivorous predator's excellent hunting skills, including its renowned ability to hunt snakes!
