Quetzalcóatl-" the Feathered Snake"
The Feathered Serpent is a divinity present in the mythology of numerous pre-Hispanic peoples of Mesoamerica.
Quetzalcoatl, who at that time was known as the creator god of man, the Lord of Dawn and the Rain Cloud Serpent; the one who gave man corn, pulque and the calendar, which made him a common deity among various Mesoamerican civilizations.
Quetzalcoatl, considered "the Feathered Serpent", which is a deity that represents the duality inherent to the human condition: the "serpent" is the physical body with its limitations and the "feathers" are the spiritual principles. Another name applied to this deity is Nahualpiltzintli, "prince of the nahuals."
