Castle With a Viking Exhibition

This exhibition focuses on the Viking era and showcases different aspects of life during those times. In glass cases, we can see everyday use items. Another exhibit is a 

reconstruction of a Viking funeral. Next, there is a display of helmets used by Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. Next to this incredible collection is a completed armor, and the last showcase is filled with different 

types of weapons and shields. One of the most interesting displayed items is a long sword with a cracked blade. There is a legend that tells of a great warrior who alone obtained one of the biggest castles in this region. 

Additionally, you can see old maps of this region.

The museum where the exhibition is located is a renovated castle mentioned in the legend. The castle is situated near the battlefield where we found all displayed items.

This is a big day for our museum because one of the most famous archaeologists visited us. He helped with the excavations, which marked the start of his career.
