    Keepsakes: Locket and Trinket Box

For this contest, I chose to focus on precious memories and how we preserve them. I wanted to create something decorative, functional, and customisable, and this is the result.

The idea started with an antique-style locket, complete with cameo, that can be opened and closed, and displayed on its stand in both positions. The locket has room to fit actual photos in it! For the purposes of this challenge, I rendered photos of myself and my wife, plus our two cats, but anything could be put in here: photos of your partners, family, friends, pets, or even an important place.

The locket stands on a trinket box along with a few other small builds: a dip pen, spare nibs, an inkwell, and a wax seal, suggesting letters sent and received, as well as fresh lily of the valleys.

The drawer is functional and can be used to keep any number of little trinkets in it: letters and notes, ticket stubs from flights or shows, jewellery, keys, or even little Lego pieces you don’t want to lose track of!

How many LEGO elements have you used in your design?
