Space: The System of the World
Isaac Newton's formulation of Laws of Motion and Gravity were fundamental to our understanding of how the physics work - indeed, he's been unrevealing the underlying System of the World. With that knowledge we were able to precisely calculate celestial mechanics. One thing led to another, and in few centuries man was walking on the Moon. Here you can see Newton in his study, surrounded by his many works and interests, while diffracting celestial light using a prism.
