SPACE: Classic Space - In the Future!

The classic space wave of LEGO is one of the most iconic, eye catching LEGO themes to this day.

In this competition I have aimed to revisit this LEGO theme and I have portrayed the classic spaceships and environments to my best ability

This was an entertaining task, as I had much freedom when building this model. I had access to many photos of the original spaceship designs and this was a valuable source of information. With access to a wider range of colours and new pieces, this was a great experience. I have also included my interpretation of Benny as an aged minifigure. This was a fun easter egg to include.

I could also develop my abilities in 3d software for this contest. I used Blender to render this scene. This allowed me to experiment with several lighting effects, as seen in this final image.

Overall I'm very pleased with this entry. I wish all other contestants the best of luck!
