"Layla" by Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton, a rock/reggae legend, released "Layla" in 1970 and is the title track on Derek and the Dominoes album "Layla". His purpose in writing "Layla" was to talk about his forbidden love for the wife of his close friend George Harrison; however, he eventually ended up marrying her. Eric is extremely well known for playing a Fender Stratocaster.

This build consists of just over 2300 pieces mainly due to the giant album cover built only out of 1x1 tiles. It features the album cover of "Layla" with a stage in front of it. Eric Clapton is depicted playing a red fender stratocaster while singing into the microphone. There are stage lights behind him as well as stereos on either side of the stage. I also decided to include a piano because the piano was such a crucial part of his music. Originally, I actually built Eric, the guitar, and the piano out of actual bricks; however, I did not have the correct colors for some details so I decided to submit it using Stud.io

I hope you enjoy!
