The Greatest Gig on Earth

The model is an homage to the artistic genius of Pink Floyd and the visual imaginery they promoted with their live performances, their album covers and their videoclips.

There is no “top ten guitar solos” list without “Comfortably Numb” on the podium, when not directly at number 1, a piece that David Gilmour played, like most of his parts, on his famous black Stratocaster to get those rich harmonics and warm tones.

The model represents Pink Floyd in their most evocative gig at Pompeii, surrounded by visual references to their album covers and stage props (and some Easter eggs here and there…): the elements can be easily removed or rearranged to recreate different epic moments in their carreer, or they can all be included like in the final model, so that we can imagine taking part in the greatest gig on Earth.
