The Music Man

I grew up with a dad that loved rock and roll, and after many years of listening to classic rock I began to share the same adoration of the 'oldies' like the Beatles, Eagles, ELO, and Pink Floyd. What amazes me is how those groups can create such inspiring and deep feelings via song and I wanted to express that with my entry - The Music Man!

So many of these bands used the Stratocaster to create soaring ballads and true rockers. Their abilities to highlight this instrument was complimented by masterful use of the bass guitar, drums, and the piano. Using this, I thought it only appropriate that such a consuming experience should be recreated in LEGO bricks.

The legs are miniature bass guitars, which lead up to a drum kit and a piano belt, as well as a record player heart. The Music Man wields a metallic red Strat, while he listens to his creations with bass clef ears. His chords lift him up on a music staff while the song comes alive off the pages!
