Swivel Scrabble
Scrabble was originally invented in 1931 by an architect named Alfred Mosher Butts. It was then known as Lexiko. In 1938, Alfred further developed the game and called it Criss-Cross Words.
In 1948 James Brunot bought the rights to the game, redesigned it, simplified the rules, and changed the name to Scrabble. From then on Scrabble has continued to be a favourite game across the world.
Scrabble has proven itself to be timeless, so I decided to build my favourite game out of my favourite building material – Lego!
This design is based on the original edition. It has a swivel top for ease of game play.
The model measures approximately 35cm x 35cm x 8.5cm consisting of 2280 parts.
After the build, hours can be spent playing the Lego version - truly timeless!
