All Seasons: The Tree of Seasons

When I was a child, I loved to play in my tyre swing in the garden, no matter the weather, whatever the season.

I did fall off on occasion, as I wasn't very good at balancing! it was not unheard of to find the odd loose brick or minifigure inside the tyre either!

Through the use of Lego bricks, I have created a picture which reminds me of these happy times. Built on a baseplate of 32 x 40 studs in mosaic style, the background to the tree is split into the four seasons representing the pinks of spring, greens of summer, coppers of autumn and the whites of winter. From spring blossom through to winter snow.

Carefully hidden birds, insects, snakes and frogs give added interest to this piece so it can be admired from a distance on the wall, or close up on a sideboard.

I hope this makes you smile, as much as my tyre swing did when I was a girl.
