Vintage Transportation: From Time to Time

The ingenious ideas of creative minds are the driving force behind technology. With an ever-increasing pace, novel solutions make life easier. I built a tribute to all these engineers that revolutionized the traffic sector over the past centuries. Micro-scaled sceneries depict the exact same landscape, modified by the engineers over time. Thereby, I showed the most important steps of technical evolution in transportation.

In each scenery, a car drives on a road and in the background, a ship floats along a river, crossed by a bridge on which a train runs. Above, an airplane flies. Behind, a large yellowish arrow symbolizes the rise of modernity over time. To all sceneries, ladders are connected, magically arising from train tracks. On them, additional trains from the respective time run and allegoric engineers climb towards the platforms, raising the level of ingenious complexity.

The model comprises 4348 parts and 4 minifigures (all exist) and measures 50 studs x 31 studs x 59 bricks.
