A Day With Colorful Koinobori

For this challenge, I built three Japanese kite fish, more commonly known as koinobori, being visited by a young boy and his mom. The little boy is so fascinated with the fish kits, that he has his own mini one and a cookie to enjoy while watching the kites blow in the wind.

Koinobori kites (carp kites) represent the ornamental, colorful, and tranquil freshwater koi. These fish kites symbolize strength and courage in Japan. They also symbolize a wish of many Japanese parents, that their children grow into healthy, spirited adults. On May 5th every year, Koinobori are flown outside of homes to represent each child on Japan’s Children’s Day. The colors of Koinobori are symbolic also. Blue represents the ideals of calmness and security. Red symbolizes strength, joy, and happiness. Green represents youth and vitality. Orange represents happiness. And, gold symbolizes strength.

I hope you enjoy my build! Good luck everyone!
