Hogsmeade Main Street, a snowy winter day
On the main
street of Hogsmeade Village, Honeydukes and Zonko’s Joke Shop present their
wares in enticing window displays that would tempt even the most frugal witch
or wizard to take a look inside. In December of 1993, when Harry Potter first
visited this picturesque wizard village, the whole place was covered in a
thick coat of crisp white snow and made up for the holidays with holly wreaths and
strings of enchanted candles hanging in the trees (or floating in the bushes, as the case may be here).
If there
was ever a place I would love to visit myself ever since I read the books, it
would be Hogsmeade in wintertime. I have taken inspiration for the look of this
build from both descriptions in the books, as well as the look and aesthetic of
the films. I enjoyed putting together this winter scene a lot, and hope you
like it too!
