House of Whispers

An old, creaky house stood on the outskirts of a forgotten town. The house seemed to breathe on nights when the moon hung high, casting its pale glow over the cracked wood and boarded-up windows. Locals called it the "House of Whispers," for the wind never blew without bringing soft voices from within its walls.

Many claimed the house was alive, feeding on the fears of those brave or foolish enough to wander close. A wealthy family had lived there a century ago, a once joyful household that crumbled when the youngest child mysteriously vanished. Her disappearance sent the family spiraling into madness, their cries echoing through the house until one night, they also vanished. The townspeople found the family gone, their belongings left behind, and the house sealed shut.

As time passed, the house decayed, but it never fell apart. No matter how many storms battered it, or how much rain soaked its walls, it stood defiantly against time.
