Christmas 1991

Although most of my childhood memories are rather blurry, I can vividly remember the Christmas I got the Forbidden Island LEGO set. It was one of the first sets I got and it was also for a long time the biggest set I had. The island baseplate was amazingly useful for setting up new strutures and the trap door a fun gimmick to play with.

PS: Yes, the size of the island is a bit exagerated, I was a small kid, but not that small ;)
