Edinburgh Castle
My entry captures the stunning view of Edinburgh Castle looming over the city at Twilight. I visited Edinburgh with my family and instantly fell in love with the city. My entry shows the castle as seen from the Vennel Steps; an alleyway tucked into the Grassmarket area. The steps slowly fade to the back as the alleyway narrows, while the bars meant to support those walking the steps extend out of the picture and to the observer. A lone pedestrian can be seen in the hue of the streetlamp. Inside, people are preparing for the approaching hours of darkness with cosy lights shining out onto the streets. At the top of the photo we see the Castle Rock with the majestic Edinburgh Castle towering over the city. I included the tile with a horse as a reference to the unicorn; Scotland's national animal and the heraldic animal of King James I. I hope you enjoy this entry as much as I enjoyed the memories of visiting this beautiful city and trying to envision this as a small Lego Polaroid!
