Natsukashii
The beauty of a memory or nostalgia accompanied by a smile.
It’s a beautiful thought really.
For in Japanese culture it is believed that a moment fleeting into transience, makes the memory all the more valuable.
And what fond memories I have of Japan.
So recreating natsukashii in LEGO turned out to be quite a challenge - not only did I want to visualize my experience but also include cultural/faunistic aspects into my build.
At a closer look, you might spot the native Japanese tree frog, a Japanese tassel or Uchiwa (a traditional Japanese fan).
You don’t always get the chance to combine nostalgia with passion, so creating a LEGO build based on past memories has truly brought me natsukashii.
It’s a reminder that you are fortunate to have had the experiences you’ve had in life.
The beauty of a memory.
