Bede BD-5 Microjet & Horse Trailer (Octopussy)
The Scene
In 1983's Octopussy, James Bond must make a quick escape after being captured. He'll have some help from a fellow agent and some cleverly hidden transportation from Q Branch.
The Build
My design includes the custom 1980 Range Rover convertible which is thought to be a Rapport Huntsman customization. The SUV can seat 8 and is a two door model. There is a storage console between the two front seats which opens. The trailer easily detaches for a quick getaway.
The trailer is a standard design/shape for a horse trailer. The back door folds down on two hinges and the fake horse body can lift out and up on several hinges to reveal the hidden jet inside. The roof plates can be easily removed to get better access to the jet if need be.
The Bede BD-5 Microjet is hidden in the trailer behind the fake horse as seen. The wings fold down into flight/storage positions and the landing gear can be folded up or taken off easily to put the jet into flight mode.
