The Transforming Lotus Chase from The Spy Who Loved Me

One of the most spectacular action sequences in Bond's history involved one of the character’s most loved vehicles which was also one of the most spectacular gadgets!

The set comprises of three vehicles; Stromberg’s Jet Ranger helicopter, a motorcycle with a rocket propelled sidecar and Bond’s Lotus Esprit S1 or “Wet Nellie”.

The emphasis on this set is playability, I wanted to pack in as many features in as possible, to make this set as fun and exciting to build and play with as the film which inspired it:

The Jet Ranger has working rotor blades and passenger compartment doors that open.

The motorcycle is equipped with a working ‘rocket’ sidecar that can be fired with a flick of the finger.

The Lotus Esprit has a unique modular system that allows the wheels to be replaced by the car’s submersible elements, for those all-important aquatic escapes! In addition, the Lotus has a working finger-push missile which can be deployed in either land or submersible modes.
