Nature: The Quetzal
This is a Quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno), a native bird from my region, Central America and more specifically from Guatemala (Also the money here in Guatemala is named "Quetzal").
I made this because I love this bird, his colors are beautiful and his tail is really long and impresive when you see him flying.
Talking about the design, I tried to make it the more detailed and similar to the bird. It have details like the dark grey feathers behind a part of the tail, the crossed and standing hair of the head, the movable long tail (I tried to do longest tail possible without making it weak) and the mechanics like being able to move the head at many angles with a "towball", move the wings from top to bottom, move the tail and the legs.
The bird is placed on a tree branch supported by pieces of tree to give it more stability.
