Black Hole Toy
When I think of space, one of the first things that come to mind are black holes. Here I have created an interactive toy which is supposed to represent one of these mysterious objects.
It comes with three coloured balls which you can use to simulate the black hole sucking up planets with its enormous gravitational strength. I've made this model with a smooth dish shape so that you can throw the balls at an angle and watch them orbit around and around, inching closer and closer before finally passing the black hole's event horizon and plummeting through the central hole.
The black hole can be laid out flat on any surface, but it also has legs which can easily fold out to keep it off the ground if you so wish to display it as such. You also get a more satisfying 'plonk' sound once the ball hits the ground if you set it up like this.
This is probably the blackest entry in this competition, so if you like the colour black you should like this build :)
