Space Training Simulator

Here is a working Space Training Simulator. Spin the unit and watch the space man wiz around in all sorts of directions. The model is built on a 16x16 base and is 284 parts (plus or minus 1 or 2). It is shown in the pics with 3 figures - not included in part count. The unit is great fun to have on your desk and spin it around as a stress reliver / executive desk toy.

The idea came from thinking back to the early days of LEGO space and thinking what cn I do that is different? - "The spacemen needed training". I also like to build interactive models rather than stationary display ones.

The model has a working gimbal mechanism and a lifting platform (2nd pic) up to the gimbal platform. The Gimbal is secure and doesn't fall apart when spun, even with quite a heavy spin. It spins along four different axis. There is an observation platform along with a main control area. Also a table to put the all important 'cuppa'.

Note: Some colour choice based on parts available in my collection.
