Adventuring in the Pandoran Forests

Neytiri and Jake are exploring the Pandoran forests when Jake gets distracted by some wildlife and almost falls into a stream.

I love the world building of Avatar, how everything has a reason making it feel so real and easier to make up ideas and stories.

Pandora’s gravity is 0.8g allowing the plants and animals to be bigger than we are used to. I tried to make everything as big as possible and added trees growing out the side of the cliffs as it’s easier to cling on. I also tried to make sure every corner of forest has something growing since if you look at Pandora or other forests that inspired it like Zhangjiajie Forest every millimetre of space has something growing in it.

To try to capture some of the alien plants I used all sorts of weird and wonderful pieces. I found minifigure items great as they have lots of small details for example I used Darth Mauls horn piece.

I added a pole to the top of the tree so you can add an animal, like a Banshee from the official set, mid flight.
