The World of Avatar: Exploring Pandora

Pandora is a unique and vibrant place. This model illustrates Pandora’s beauty, both during the day and at night. To achieve this rather complex idea, I created a turning mechanism that can be activated by a red technic piece. If you turn the red technic piece, the entire center build moves.   

 To accomplish this build’s floating look, I used a long support brick with technic pin holes in the center. This allows the center build’s technic pins to rest in the supports, causing it to appear as if it were actually floating. The supports are each standing on an octagonal plate. Each plate has “stars” and on the right plate, is the space research station. 

The day build uses teal for the water, whereas the night build uses dark blue for the water.
