Architecture: Dutch Drawbridge

One of the most typical features of Amsterdam is its city layout with canals and drawbridges. One of the pearls is the Walter Süskindbridge, named after a WW2 hero and located next to the Hermitage Museum*. With all its details it does have the true Amsterdam vibe to it, with the logo of the municipality hidden in the base (three red crosses stacked). Footprint is approximately 1760 studs and the scale is 1:57 (which is close to minifig scale).

Fun LEGO features are that it's built in many separate modules (14) and loaded with SNOT to have the slim bridge still be sturdy enough to be poseable opened or closed as desired. For fun: Take a peek with Google Streetview 52° 21' 57" N 4° 54' 7" E and compare it to the real deal.

*: Hermitage Museum has approved the use, and even enthusiastically supplied, the poster for the advertising pilar.
