Minifigure: Life on Mars?

Inspired by David Bowies song I decided to investigate what really happened to all of those mars rovers that disappeared or cut transmission immediately after reporting there to be no life on Mars. The results of my investigation are plain to see in these photographs taken by other rovers.

The conclusion that I drew was that no matter the model of the rover these extra-terrestrial beings were breaking the communication arrays of the rovers and then befriending them.

This was the only conclusion I was able to draw from these images please alert me to any other odd things in these live photographs.
