Minifigure: The Grand Automobile
For this contest, I made a model featuring a brand new car around the year 1900, which I then decided, should fittingly be black and white, as the first colour commercial cameras weren’t invented until 1907. In addition to my car, to create a full scene, built a lamppost, an old-fashioned bicycle, and for the background made the façade of a typical house for the current day, along with a yard to accompany it. The yard has some monochrome greenery, a well, and a tree. Because I didn’t have any black, white, or grey leaf elements, I used a technique where I stacked angled plates. In total I have four minifigures, two of which’s torsos minority break the monochrome rule. My MOC sits on a 29 by 22 baseplate, and has a height of only about 20 bricks high. This places it well within the given limits. I hope you like it as much a I enjoyed building it.
