Lego Ideas: Great Inventions
My Ideas logo consists of five mini-builds meant to represent inventors, scientists, and their contributions to science.
The "I" is Einstein, known for his work in physics and mathematics. My favourite part of this build is the use of white fire pieces for the mustache and Technic axles connected by pins to achieve the twist at his waist and neck. Also the lightbulb for a dot.
The "D" is the microscope, instrumental in the development of Cell and Germ Theories. The objective lenses are clipped to a 2x2 plate with octagonal frame hidden under the radar dish.
The "E" is a printed circuitboard, key to modern electronics and computing. This was built using tiled bricks, with plates inserted sideways to create the lime green circuit paths.
The "A" is a pair of syringes (with a medicine bottle), representing both modern medicine and, specifically, vaccination.
The "S" is the telephone, representing telecommunications technology, without which the modern world would be remarkably different.
