LEGO Ideas: Driving Creativity
This submission attempts to embody the affect that LEGO Ideas has on the LEGO community and the LEGO builders who contribute to it. The builders (represented by the Minifigures) apply an input to the system. The system moves and adapts as the idea gets developed, sometimes by moving in ways that are hard to understand. In this case, the mechanisms lifts the “D” and the “A” in IDEAS up, just as LEGO Ideas forces builders to think creatively as we move towards publishing our concepts. The black and white box at the end is a tribute to the current LEGO Ideas logo, signifying that as things change, we remember where we came from. The color scheme is representative of LEGO. White letters on a red background, with black and yellow highlights. The clear roof for each letter is added so that the geared mechanism can be seen, just like how builders look at other submissions, hoping to see insight into the design process of other builders.
