All That Jazz

A brilliant jazz musician can hear a melody or a set of chords and immediately know what to do and what to play over it. They can feel the music and let the tune spill out of them. That's the moment I wanted to capture in this poster -- the musical riffing of an old jazz quartet.

The artwork blends the performers and their instrument into each other, the way that a jazz band improvises and melds during a performance. The music comes to life and breathes in and out of each player, like a living conversation between artists. That's jazz.
