Celebrate: A History of Play-Lego Logo 3D Mosaic

My mosaic is both a statement piece and a scavenger hunt, catching the eye from a distance but also garnering a closer look at its detailed texture. There are countless secrets and references to 90 years of LEGO History hidden in its rich colors, including Classic Space, Pirates, Castle, Adventurers, and The LEGO Movie! Hidden among them are several interactive moving parts, hidden treasures, and even a working light bulb signaling an idea! How many can you spot?

My model was shown at BrickFair VA 2021, where I was honored to receive the Brickee Award for Best Mosaic! Equally rewarding was getting to interact with kids and adults alike as their faces lit up with excitement and fond nostalgia.

What started as a simple pixel art mosaic evolved into a project that truly embodies the history and spirit of imagination and creativity that is synonymous with the LEGO Brand.
