What Awaits at Journey's End

For this piece I was inspired by the beautiful original design by BoltBuilds and the classic covers of the core rulebooks for fifth edition D&D. Here you can see the green dragon featured in BoltBuild's set atop the broken tower with flags wavering. I wanted to capture the sense of intimidation and hope that comes with confronting the final fight at the end of a major campaign. Here the dragon and the darkness amassing it is contrasted by the light and brightness that comes from a party of adventurers.

I have for years been a huge fan of both Lego and Dungeons & Dragons; both hobbies have helped me strengthen friendships and express my creativity. I was overjoyed to hear that D&D would be featured with Lego, and when I heard about this competition I knew I had to take a shot at it. Included also is the original sketch.
