Concept: Jengo
Jengo – A
robot to play Jenga with
My concept
for a new robot made of the Robot Inventor set includes:
- a drawing
showing the appearance of Jengo and his basic components
- an exemplary
move from Jengo that describes how he will function
- a list of
all motors and sensors and how they are used
- important
things regarding the actual build process
- basic
models of the lifting arm, the wheel and the fingers using rubbery pieces to
interact with a Jenga stone
Because the
“Construction” sheet is not easily readable:
Construction
- wheel connected to the arm, so that
one motor can turn both
- wheel needs to be lifted
automatically while turning, because its friction should not move/turn the platform
- maximum and minimum arm length limits
the possible size of the Jenga tower
- fingers need to move without the
sensors, so they can monitor the progression
- low gear ratios are fundamental for
careful and precise actions
- all parts should be light and compact
